Senior Transportation
Design Technician
Are
you a Design Technician with 5+ years experience and has working
experience with MicroStation and GEOPAK?
As
a Senior
Transportation Design Technician, you will be coordinating and checking
the work of other Technicians and Engineers in order to meet projects budgets
on assigned design tasks. You will be
setting up TxDOT Projects and run from start to finish, and responsible for
maintaining the latest TxDOT standards, files, etc onto the system. You will be completing detailed drawings from
sketches/verbal instructions and notes.
Sometimes
perform site visits with Survey Crew or Field Technicians as needed in order to
locate Grading Markers, collect data for revising Construction Drawings or
perform Engineering tests. You will
coordinate with the surveys to indicate topographical contours, elevations and
plot maps and charts showing profiles and cross sections.
You
will be participating in Design meetings with Engineering and Client staff to
fully understand expected project outcomes.
You will be mentoring other CAD staff to help develop necessary software
and design skills. You will perform
other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Associates
Degree from college or technical school.
· Must have 8+
years experience as a Senior Design Engineer and with experience
supervising/training the work of others.
· Must be
proficient in GEOPAK, Open Roads, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office programs.
· Must have
working knowledge of TxDOT CADD Standards and Specification.
