Transportation Project Manager
As
the Senior
Transportation Project Manager, you will be working on Traffic
Engineering and ITS Work for Street, Road, and Highway projects for the City,
County, and State, as well as the Engineering, Design, and Detail of the
Project). You will be preparing
Construction Drawings, Specifications, Quantity Takeoffs, and Cost Estimates
using City, County, TxDOT and/or AASHTO standards.
When
you are designing the project, it should include Traffic Engineering, ITS, Horizontal
and Vertical Geometry; Roadway Typical Sections; Earthwork, Intersection and Interchange
Layouts; Traffic Control Plans including: Traffic Signal Layouts, Construction Sequence
Plans, and Signing and Pavement Marking Plans, Roadway Drainage, Temporary Erosion
Control, and Right-of-Way Plans.
You
will be responsible for overseeing the work of Project Engineers and Technicians,
as well as support and advise Junior Engineers and Technical staff. You will assist in managing larger Projects
(prepare Scopes, Schedules and Budgets).
You
will work with the Clients and coordinate with Sub-Consultants. You will participate in meetings and compose
the minutes of meetings. You will be
writing reports and technical memos. You
will be acting in an advisory capacity to Senior Management on Engineering
related matters.
Requirements:
·
Bachelors
of Science in Civil Engineering.
·
Must
be a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas.
·
Must
have 15+ years experience in the Engineering, Design, and detailing of Street, Road
and Highway Projects, including Preliminary and Final Geometric and Drainage Design;
preparing Specifications, Quantity Takeoffs, and Construction Cost Estimates.
·
Must
have experience working on TxDOT Design Projects.
·
Must
have working experience with AASHTO Green Book, TxDOT Roadway Design Manual,
TxDOT Roadside Design Guide, TxDOT Hydraulic Manual, and Texas MUTCD.
·
Must
have 5+ years experience of managerial and process controls (Scheduling, Cost Engineering,
Estimating, etc.).
·
Must
be proficient with MicroStation, GEOPAK, and Inroads.
