Senior Project Manager – Water Infrastructure

As a Senior Project Manager you will be assigned Water Infrastructure project(s), especially large diameter water lines, for successful delivery to clients by coordinating and implementing project planning, risk management,schedule development, budget development, establishment and implementation of project controls, client communications, and managing change. Direct a project staff of engineers, technicians, planners, administrative personnel, as required and assigned for the project(s) to achieve successful results for the client.

Responsibilities:

• Develop business and future projects by identifying clients and client needs, marketing to clients for delivery of solutions; serve as client relations manager as assigned and identify clients for proposed assignment will be included in your responsibilities.
• Plan schedule, or coordinate the preparation of documents or activities for multiple projects.
• Prepare proposals to provide professional services and assists in business development including developing proposals.
• Collaborate with the Principals and Marketing Department to identify project opportunities, develop and prepare proposal/qualification submissions will be an integral part of your day.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

• Thorough knowledge of current principles and practices of engineering as related to Water Infrastructure projects assigned and developed
• Knowledge of sanitary sewer, storm water and other infrastructure projects is a PLUS.
• Knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions.
• Ability to maintain currency regarding new methods and developments for projects, and recommends, new practices or changes in emphasis of programs.
• Ability to manage complex projects or programs with varied scope.
• Ability to represent the organization and maintain liaison with individuals and related organizations.
• Ability to mentor and develop project managers and assistant project managers, project team members.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees, clients, customers,officials, contractors, and others
• Ability to effectively lead meetings and make presentations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or related field.
• Advanced Degree desirable. 
• Engaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues.
• 10+ years (Advanced degree may be substituted for the experience)
• Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Specialty Certification such as PMP

Travel or Environment Requirements:

• Must have dependable transportation, a State Driver’s License and carry state mandated auto insurance.
• Requires visually observing and differentiating details and colors of objects; recognizing sound, tone and pitch; speaking and writing clearly and effectively; adjusting to interruption and changes; working in hot,cold, and noisy work areas; standing, walking and sitting for extended periods; climbing stairs and ladders; dealing with people in tense situations and lifting up to twenty (20) pounds. 
• Must be willing and available to conduct or attend some evening meetings.
