Our client is seeking a Structural/Bridge Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience to join the client's Public Infrastructure group. As part of the Public Infrastructure team this position will provide assistance to the Project Manager in assignments for the design of Bridge and other Structures for TxDOT, Counties, Cities and Private Clients as well as to assist with roadway and Water & Waste Water Treatment facilities projects throughout Houston Metro Service Area.

The ideal candidate must have excellent verbal and communication skills to include leadership and organizational skills necessary to lead and manage junior staff. Must also be familiar with structural programs for bridge design and rating and have completed courses in concrete & steel design

Job Requirements:

• Structural analysis and design, load rating of roadway bridges, design of Water and Waste Water treatment facilities.
• Prepare contract documents which include plans, specifications and engineering   estimates.
• Responsible for assuring quality, cost effectiveness and timeliness of assigned projects; identify problems and related technical issues leading to long-term, generic solutions; identify technical approach for solving problems and meeting customer/client needs.
• Interact in a collaborative manner with other team members, staff, and clients to accomplish organizational goals; may provide ideas to improve efficiency at group level; network within and beyond own technical peer group.
• Required Qualifications:
• 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in bridge engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• PE license is preferred.
• Must have the ability to manage projects from preliminary planning through completion.
• Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as MIDAS, SAP, STAAD, or similar.

Traffic/Transportation Engineer

Client is looking for experience preparing the planning, design, and permitting documents of traffic/transportation engineering projects, as well as a strong background in conducting traffic impact studies and site circulation studies with a focus on site development projects. As a successful candidate, you must be knowledgeable in the application of traffic engineering and transportation planning principles for conducting impact analyses and site layout design. You must possess an entrepreneurial and professional demeanor, as well as strong technical and communication skills.

Job Requirements:

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, M.S. degree in Traffic/Transportation a plus;
• FE/EIT certification, P.E. license a plus;
• Possess 4 to 8 years of Traffic Engineering/Transportation Planning experience related to development projects in the Greater Houston Area, including road, intersection, and traffic signal layout; Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting;
• Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D design skills;
• Effectively manage multiple clients and projects, as well as the willingness to develop future business for the office;
• Strong customer service skills and responsiveness to client needs;
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines;
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment on multiple assignments;
• Ability to occasionally work hours during the evenings and/or weekends;
• Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing with the ability to travel to project sites and client locations, as required.
